Dear Diary,
I'm so excited for today is my wedding day! All these summers with Dill finally paid off and now we are gonna be man and wife. He proposed to me under the big tree near the Radley place, it was so sweet. Best part is that Atticus and Jem both appove and so does everyone else. Miss Maudie was super nice with helping me plan everything, and but Aunt Alexandra was a pain. That women always is trying to get her way. She was gonna try to make me wear a huge dress with tassels and all, but i put my foot down. Ima plain and simple girl, i dont need a weddin made for a princess. Atticus sure is treating me like one though, guess he's sad that ima be leaving him soon. Jem did a couple years ago and that broke his heart as well. But ima be staying close. Maycomb is my home, and i wouldnt think to leave it. Expecailly now that I'm the becomming a new laywer round here. My daddy teaching me everything he knows. Ive also become a fine lady, but i do prefer my overalls every now and again. Well, I'll write back after the i do's.

Jean Loiuse.

Scout, i'm so pleased you're getting married, like a young lady should! i still think you should reconsider wearing my old wedding dress. i think it would look so good on you. after all, it is your wedding, you should look like a princess. it's going to be the best day of your life, and you're going to remember it forever.
